Obstacle / Trail Ride Benefit at Grace Lake Ministries

Do you love trail riding and playing with your horse on fun obstacles?

We have the perfect event for you! Join us for a day of riding and fellowship at Grace Lake Ministries Equine Assisted Services. This event opens a beautiful, historic 230-acre working ranch in NE Collin County to a limited number of riders for an unforgettable experience—all while supporting our mission to empower individuals with special challenges to reach their full potential.

📅 Event Details

• Date: Saturday, October 18, 2025
(Rain Date: Saturday, October 25, 2025)
• Gates Open: 10:00 AM
• Gates Close: 5:30 PM
• Entry Fee: $50 per rider (no refunds – all funds benefit Grace Lake programs)
• Limited Spots Available
• Proof of Negative Coggins Required

📜 Event Schedule

10:00 AM: Gates Open

• Access to half mile circle Trotting Track and 60ft. Round Pen for warm-up
• Refreshment Area in the Pecan Meadow with:
– Water for horses & humans
– Snacks
– Portable restroom
– Mounting block

12:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Obstacles & Games

Enjoy 3 full hours of riding fun with 25+ obstacles and games, including:
• Trotting Track: Half-mile circle with flat and gently rolling terrain
• Variety of Obstacles: Easy to challenging obstacles for all level riders
• Creative & Natural Obstacles: Unique designs plus natural terrain challenges
• Giddy Up Hill: Medium-grade hill for a fun canter workout

3:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Guided Trail Ride

Relax and enjoy an hour-long guided ride through breathtaking areas of the ranch rarely seen by the public:
• Gorgeous hardwood groves & meandering trails
• Stunning quarter-mile dam overlooking a 30-acre lake
• Beautiful herd of show cattle & baby calves
• Open country views & a variety of wildlife

This 230-acre ranch is one of the last remaining cattle ranches in Collin County, featuring:
• Shaded meadows with huge pecan trees
• Several ponds and a breathtaking lake
• Gently rolling hills and wide-open pastures
• Trails through scenic hardwood groves

• Mostly flat with gently rolling hills
• Blackland Prairie soil with occasional rock covered roads
• Massive trees provide shade over some of the ranch with lots of wide open pastures
